8 months ago I decided I wanted to change. To be quite honest …. it was YEARS ago when I realised I needed to change, but I never found the courage and MOTIVATION to do it.
When it comes to weight loss and getting in shape, there are so many things which deter a person from even starting. Only pure motivation and will power can get you started and ,trust me, getting started is the most difficult part of it all.
At first I was too shy to go to the gym …. Watching all those fit people there made me feel so insecure about myself. That feeling, thank God, faded after the first gym session.
Your body will get used to training, your mind will love it and you would gladly make it an important part of your style of life.
Another factor that I was worried about was food. You see loads of people starving themselves in order to look better. I was not prepared to go there.
You will soon realise that you do not have to sacrifice anything in life. Moderation is key to everything. Seeking help is the best thing you can do for yourself. I thank Matthaeus Grasso and his team at ‘A New, Better Life’ for pointing me in the right direction.
I only eat the things I love to eat. In fact, believe it or not, my current challenge is managing to eat everything I am instructed to due to the large portions!
I am still a long way from my target, but lets just say I am 33kgs lighter and closer to getting there (try to carry around 33kgs with you all the time, you will find it pretty tiring :p).
Feeling much better about yourself, stronger, more energetic and lighter sure helps in living a new, better life.
One last note – the main reason I wanted to make this public is to try and motivate other people who know they want to change …. but THINK they cannot.
I will be more than happy to help from the little that I have learnt. I found support, and will be more than happy to offer it to others. If I can do it … anyone can, trust me!
